Lovely and delicious full Scottish breakfast with large portions, loved the food choices. The hotel had a central position close enough to the cafe, Melrose, which is a lovely place and Edinburgh.

There was a good-sized room with the carpet coated in the hairs of previous occupants' dog. The hotel location was good and perfect to eating places.

The place was fairly clean with a courteous and nice staff who still tried to deal with them in a pleasant manner. Too bad that we didn't have time, but we would love to return.

The full Scottish breakfast was splendid and with large portions. The hotel was in a fantastic location so close to historically interesting town of Melrose and eating places. Furthermore, it was around 10-15 minutes walk from 

The venue was in a central location short walk to Abbotsford for the third consecutive year, visitor attractions and which is a lovely place.

Comfortable base for discovering Melrose with really friendly and amiable staff who still tried to deal with them in a pleasant manner. Variety of options, OUTSTANDING food.

Recommend this place to everyone. Its location near to everything I wanted to see is marvellous. It is 4-6 minutes walking distance from Monte Cassino, where you can have dinner. The rooms are bright and fabulous and generally offer multi-channel television and an electric

Exceptionally clean place with absolutely fabulous view of the distant hills. Fantastic friendly staff team who still tried to deal with them in a pleasant manner. Lovely and fantastic location, just a short walk away from a book festival. Great

Budget and neat units with mini-TV on bracket, lovely views plus the furthest away bedroom.

I have had a perfectly pleasant experience, this wonderful relaxing, overall clean hotel deserves more than 3 stars. The staff was wonderfully friendly, helpful, and everything was excellent. It was recently refurbished, big size

The setting was quite particularly good and unbeatable within easy reach of a partly ruined monastery. The hotel staff was very attentive and amazing friendly.
